mentoring

i had a meeting w miss lim and another 3 of my ws mentors. it was a great meeting. a little pity b2 missed out on it. i will organise another one hopefully this time w b2 and miss ps? maybe another meeting b4 they break for their exams.

some points were brought up and exchanged some ideas. lemon asked miss lim and i if there is anything we would want to change back in nus days. both of us dont have. my reason being, joining smp has always been the best 1st step that i have ever taken. if i were to join smp a year earlier than i did, the impact that i got from smp wouldnt be that great as compared to what it did to me for now. of course, i cant guarantee it wont. its just a gut feeling. seriously, things have gotta so much better after smp, it made me realised a lot of things. i realised i have to make a lot of changes and i have to say i did change. for the better or worse, its not for me to judge. besides, im still learning.

smp was the best 1st step. so YEP has gota be the best 2nd step. stepping into my current job has to be the best 3rd step. the friends i know helped a lot. this is something that wasnt included in the package. it came as a bonus. no one know we are going to clique at the end of the day. no one knows we are going to be close frens, going to be good working partners, and the list goes on…

if my 1st 2 years in nus werent a blank. if i had joined other CCAs seriously i wonder what i will be doing now. will i still be in the social service sector? will i still be involved in volunteering? i m glad i signed up for smp w windy, hl and hy. glad i did. =) glad they did too. and my fren who is currently an 8th cycle mentor told me he was glad i intro this prog to him. =) i m so happy.
